2018 in Review

Volume I, Issue XV

As another year comes to a close, we thought it’d be nice to take a look back at where we’d been.  It felt busy at the time, but just these highlights drive home why it felt like time was flying!

We’d also like to take this time to wish happy holidays to all of our fantastic customers and partners, not to mention our dedicated team that makes all these realities come to life.

Read on to see some of 2018’s highlights.

January: MORE THAN A MEASUREMENT

A&D Medical started off 2018 with its More Than a Measurement campaign: “After more than four decades in the business of manufacturing precision measurement instruments, we know that our customer’s personal health information is not just numbers,” said Terry Duesterhoeft, CEO of A&D Medical. “Rather it is about providing them with the power to make the most informed decisions about their health and their lives.”

Behind the campaign, A&D Medical works to ensure consumers have the right devices to address their own personal health requirements.  The A&D Connect app supports this process with an easy-to-use interface with graphs, reminders, goals, and the ability to share your measurements with your healthcare provider.

March: 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

In March, A&D Medical and its sister business units, A&D Weighing and A&D Inspection, celebrated the completion of the company’s 40th Anniversary year.

We spent the year expressing gratitude for amazing customers and employees, without whom its success wouldn’t be possible.

Some of our favorite staff experiences were a fitness competition, continuing education for our staff, peer employee recognition awards, and much more!

May: NEW CONSUMER RESOURCES

In May, in support of Global High Blood Pressure Awareness Month, A&D Medical launched new consumer resources such as a bloghow-to videostips & ideas, and a new resource center.

In light of the AHA’s new guidelines for blood pressure, the number of adults considered to have high blood pressure has increased – especially among adults under the age of 45 – and these resources allow people interested in hypertension to learn about the causes and impacts of high blood pressure.

September: ULTRACONNECT LAUNCH

Just a few months later, A&D Medical launched ULTRACONNECT in September.

ULTRACONNECT is a home blood pressure monitor that offers an unmatched set of features and capabilities, including a lightweight, tubeless design with SmartConnect functionality to sync measurements with the A&D Connect app.

This premium smart device paves the way to better hypertension management by utilizing the power of connected health.

October: AHA EXHIBITION

Fast forward to October, when A&D Medical exhibited during the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions in Chicago.

These sessions provided an excellent opportunity to connect with medical professionals and to talk about the growing importance of connected health.

And, everyone had fun playing Plinko in the A&D Medical booth!

November: HRS PARTNERSHIP

Fast on the heels of AHA, A&D Medical announced their partnership with Health Recovery Solutions (HRS) in November.

The partnership has been in existence for over 6 years, and Rohan Udeshi, COO of HRS said, “Our partnership with A&D Medical allows us to maintain an exceptional standard of telehealth delivery while making meaningful contributions to the advancement of patient care.”

The partnership allows HRS to respond to the increased demand for telehealth and high-quality biometric monitoring devices that bring precision and accuracy to all care settings.

LOOKING FORWARD

Here’s to where we’ve been, and where we plan to go in 2019.  May next year bring you continued joy and prosperity.

Happy holidays from A&D Medical.
