LAS VEGAS – January 8, 2018 – A&D Medical, a global leader in connected health and biometric measurement devices and services, has announced it will host a special luncheon presentation in its booth (#43431) at CES 2018, on January 10, at 11 AM, featuring Jennifer Kent, Director of Research Quality & Product Development at Parks Associates.

The special presentation from Dr. Kent will highlight new research from industry analysts that sheds insight into the future of connected health and its potential for consumers.

Pulling from data on health and wellness solutions, Ms. Kent will share how connected health is reaching into the home, and how it will influence consumers over the next decade.


Her presentation will focus on four primary topic research areas:

  • How technology is closing gaps in the care continuum;

  • On-demand patient and consumer services;

  • Direct-to-consumer health and wellness services; and

  • Independent living and the aging population.

The presentation will also include an introduction from Terry Duesterhoeft, president and CEO of A&D Company – Americas. Mr. Duesterhoeft will share his insights on technology advancements in connected health, and explore how moving healthcare into the home will allow consumers to better monitor their health in the long-term, and more specifically, manage chronic conditions.

Parks Associates Connected Health research finds:

  • 40% of U.S. broadband households would pay for at least one home-living services for themselves, such as alerts about family emergencies or potential dangers in the home.

  • Roughly one-third of consumers in U.S. broadband households either use a wellness app or participate in a wellness program; 64% of wellness app users claim they use the app on a daily basis.

  • Adoption of connected health devices is more than 40% of U.S. broadband households.

  • 58% of consumers in U.S. broadband households have at least one chronic condition.
